Topic:   Error on startup "Keyword not supported:'integrated security'"

When I try to start MiniMRP I get this error "Keyword not supported:'integrated security'".

I have removed and reinstalled. Same error. We are using Pro on a SQLExpress server.

Are you saying that you're just setting this up for the first time and can't get it working - or that it used to work and now it doesn't.

The error is in the connection details to SQL Server.

On your computer that picture may show an option for "Windows Authentication". Your error message sounds like you are trying to use that "Windows Authentication option. Are you sure that's what you've been using? Do you have other users on your network using MiniMRP? If you do can you go to one of those other computers and look to see what their SQL setting is?

Be aware that the "Windows Authentication" method can only work if your MiniMRP program AND the SQL Server are on your computer. If the SQL Server is on a different server machine then Windows Authentication can only work if your Windows login (when you switch on your computer and log in to your computer/corporate network) is handled by a proper domain server.

I changed my parameters so I could try to connect to a local instance of a backup of our production database. Once I reconfigured it to point to the local SQLEXPRESS db instance I could no longer open the MiniMRP app. After the error message pops in a dialog, the application closes. So, I can't get into the application to reconfigure the connection details.

I think I've found your error. I don't need the screenshot now but it would still be good if you emailed us so we can confirm a couple of thins before releasing an update that will avoid this issue.

I will come back to this forum page and post info about the cause of the error once we've discussed with you just to confirm we're on the right track.
