Where are the Current Release Version and Release Notes published on the web-site?
I can find the version within the S/W e.g. I am currently at Version 5.0.49.0

I asked for this to be reinstated like it used to, at least you could see what changes were made and could decide to update or skip till the next update. Sometimes the changes weren’t worth the hassle of updating until a few versions on.

It would be useful in mo opinion. I know it is a burden but agree, you could see what changes were made and decide to update or skip.

If there's any major feature added to the software I'm sure they'll soon brag about it so you won't miss anything. If you have a fault in your software then tell them about it and they'll tell you whether to update.

But don't just keep looking for the latest version of anything.

For security reason I keep my windows 10 updated in spite of the frequent new bugs. But my 3rd part programs/apps I just prefer to settle on a version that works and I stick to it. No point in chasing bigger number - most revisions in any app are just fixes that fix problems that were introduced in some previous fix and you'll be forever chasing the next bigger number.

They have been very responsive to my needs, no issues and there are some valid points. But if you are looking for a specific feature, it's easier to read about it than download it and try it out. In my software program/project management experience (many years) our customer base always required release notes. The customers request them, developers develop them and often write them up and a manager collates them into release notes. Maybe only major releases need this.
Still think it would be useful.
