Topic:   The same component in different locations

By: cqPosted on: Aug 5 2018 at 04:12:41 PM
I am using the trial version to determine if minimrp4 will work for us. I setup multilocations and added a part while in one location. What if I have the same part in two different locations? How can I add the same part for a different location? Thanks

While in the location where the Part exists - Click the [>] button to the left of the item.
A small menu pops up.
Select the option to "Adjust Quantity".
This opens a small window allowing you to transfer the item from one location to another. You can send a quantity of the item or send a quantity of zero. Sending any quantity, even zero, creates the item in the other location.

Reading that back to myself I agree that it's not a very intuitive process. Especially that "Adjust Quantity" option is not immediately obvious that you can use it to create/move items in/into other locations. I'll see if this process can be simplified in the not too distant future.

I DONT HAVE A TRANSFER OPTION?

The 'Transfer' option is only visible if you are using the Enterprise version of MiniMRP with multiple locations.

Is there a separate location to download the trial from? I am currently trying 4.2 Enterprise Edition and there is only ISSUE, RECEIVE, ADJUST?

For anyone else reading this.

In the 'Tools' menu you have the 'Setup'. But below the Setup button is 'Own Locations' button. In there you create additional locations and define your default location.
Once you have more than one location the transfer option becomes visible.
