Topic:   Item History Not Showing

One of my items which has shown history in the past now shows nothing. All other items show history fine. There are 887 records showing in the actual database which are correct, so its appears to be a MRP UI issue or some sort of data corruption that I don't see in the data. very strange. Any ideas? Been fine for many years, the backups don't work back about two months, then the history appears fine.

Last time somebody reported this it was because they'd created a duplicate part - same part number different revision - so were looking at the history for the new duplicate part.

I'm not saying that's what you have done but it's my first thought?

On the part - make a change. Change the OnHand Quantity and then look at history - does that new action show in history?

Is it only affecting this one part? ie all other parts still show their history?

I made a change to the quantity by both updating quantity path, and directly on the quantity on main component screen. It appears correctly in the shortage forecast list and in the database as an update, but the History tab is still completely blank. I checked and there are no duplicate parts in hidden or obsolete. it is only this one part. Others I have checked all appear correctly. I did not check them all (there are hundreds) but the 10 or so I did check all appear ok.

I am finding other products which are now not showing their history also. However, all the data are still in the tblitemhistory so it just not appearing in the UI. I am using an mdb file, and am wondering if somehow that is corrupted in some way, however intermittently. Other users seem to have the same problem, so I doubt its an actual program issue, rather probably a data issue.

Hello Joe. Are you able to make a copy of the data file, zip it and email it to me?

This was a database corruption likely caused by a power outage. Fixed via the CheckResync feature in the minimrp tools menu
