Apparently the system do not allow me to define start date/end date. I'm using miniMRP (5.0.145.0) with Crossover on a MAC. May that be the cause?

I don't know. Sorry. We never tested it with Crossover. I can't actually think of what the proplem could be. Do you see the start/end date selectors?
Do you have access to a Windows machine or a Windows Virtual Machine on say, Parallels? It would be helpful if you could test it on Windows to see if the problem is specific to Crossover. We don't have any crossover so can't test it.
