Topic:   Excel - Microsoft Query (again)

I can see the document "mrp5data" in the MRPs "Data" folder but on Excels Microsoft Query it doesn't show up as a valid file. How do I get around this?

Make a copy of the file and rename the copy to something like MRP5DATA.MDB

Renaming shouldn't be necessary. But give it a try

Tried it but it still doesn't show up as an available file when I'm in "Data / Get Data / From Other Sources / From Microsoft Query / Browse" even with the .MDB suffix

I never said anything about "From other Sources" Also

On my excel I click "Data / Import External Data/ Import Data" and a window pops opens where I can select a file. I navigate to an MDB file. I select the MDB file and another window pops open listing all the tables in the database.

Different versions of excel have slightly different titles for the options.

In your first post at the top of this page you mentioned "Microsoft Query". I'm not doing any Query. There's no "query" involved here.

I don't know what version of excel you have. On mine when I click "Data" I get a drop down menu of options. When you click the "Data" option in the bar at the top of the program maybe you get another ribbon of options below that? The Leftmost option is to get data from a Microsoft Access database? Is that what your's look like.

Pick the MS Access option. By adding that MDB extension you're telling it that it's an MS Access database (which it is - even though no MS Access is involved in MiniMRP)
