I`ve just downloaded miniMRP v3.0 and must say that I`m very impressed with -- it is definitely much more user friendly that Microsoft`s Navision! Thank you for creating an MRP program that is easy to use, especially for small businesses.

Now, on to my dilemma: I`m trying to add a couple of custom fields from the Details tab in Inventory, but even after clicking "Save", nothing shows up in the List tab. Am I missing something?

I have to click on the "?" and enter a title, then fill in the text box before saving. After that, it`ll show up in the list.

Yes, that`s right - you have to add a title or name for the new field. A field called `?` isn`t much use so once you delete the `?` and give the field a proper name then it will show up in the list.

Yes - changing the heading of the new field `activates` it.

The ? question mark is a kind of dummy place holder. As `Guest` said, it`s not much use so if the field is called ? then miniMRp doesn`t waste memory loading it. Give the field a meaningfull name and it`ll appear.

Even though I figured it out, I do appreciate you taking the time to reply. Thank you both very much!

I saw this post after i had to manually change the field name in the database. Did not know all i had to do all highlight the "?" and type in.
Maybe its just me who missed the obvious. And somehow the search from the forum earlier didnt return any result.
Anyway, can someone tell me where the data is kept for those custom fields? I couldnt locate them after putting in some dummy data
