Topic:   Components by Supplier shows Manufacturer

Is there an option for appending Manufacturer information to a component without having it be listed as a supplier? When I view "Components By Supplier" it shows the Manufacturer as well. Thanks

MiniMRP always assumes that you can buy direct from the manufacturer so manufacturer's are also listed as suppliers.

Sorry, Supplier and Manufacture are differnt things and have to be handled different.
Sample:
Resistor 0805 0.25W, 10Kohm --> Manufacture --> Vishay --> Supplier --> Digikey (Supplier can also be MOUSER, etc)

So, every part have to have also a Manufacture Nmae and Manufacture Pno

I have the problem and without Manufacture information we could not use this software, as good as it is.
Please MiniMRP Team fix this case, which is really important, Thanks
The Manufacture and Manufacture Pno data have to be shown in the upper area where the as Part Number is

Maybe you switch the fields of the SUPPLIER and the MANUFACTURE, this makes it simple.
Also a part list function/filter for manufacture is missing.

For your above example where you have two suppliers "DIGIKEY" and "MOUSER". Just enter that into MiniMRP. MiniMRP allows you to have an unlimited number of suppliers for each item in your inventory.

In the Item detail window - that's the window where you can edit the item description etc - you see the suppliers tab. Add all 3 of those companies you mentioned.

DIGIKEY
MOUSER
VISHAY

To the left of each one is a small [>] button. Click that to the left of VISHAY and select the "Manufacturer" option. The display changes to look something like this:

DIGIKEY
MOUSER
VISHAY [MFR]

So, now there's 3 companies capable of supplying this item and each one can have different prices, units of measure etc. But that [MFR] tag indicates that VISHAY is also the manufacturer. So, you can buy from digikey and digikey will be the default supplier. You can buy from the other two as well if you want.

If you do what I have explained above and you go to a Bill of Materials where the item appears you will see columns showing digikey as the supplier AND you will see additional columns showing VISHAY as the manufacturer.

Supplier and manufacturer ARE different. In the BOM they are shown in different columns. One is supplier and the other is manufacturer.

Is that not what you want?
