Can I add a column that indicates the reference designator?
Examples
C1, C2, C3 all = .01 Cap.
R1, R2, R3 all = 1K ohm resistors

I assume you mean in the Bill Of Materials? (BOM)

That already exists.

MiniMRP calls that "Position". (ie The position of the components in the assembly or, in your case, the position on the PCB)

When you're editing an Assembly's parts list in the Parts List editor you see the column on the far right. "Position". Use that for your C1, C2 etc..

When looking at the Bill of Materials if you don't see that column you can click the blue 'wrench' button at the top and select the option to 'Show/Hide' columns.
