I have an assemblies that consist of other 2 assemblys and additional components. In the All Assemblies Tab I can see the build cost - which seems to be the BOM cost for all the parts, however when I View/Edit the Assembly record the Build Cost box is empty.
I notice if I open the Indented BOM for the assembly it shows me a total cost in the bottom right of the window.
What is the Build Cost box on the Assembly View/Edit screen used for ?

In the View/Edit window, when looking at an assembly, it should show the Build Cost.
I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't show that.
If you want I can take a look at it. if I can see the actual problem I should be able to fix it. But you'd need to email me a copy of your data. Make a backup and send the backup file to me.

I had this same problem when I tried a demo version.
I think I changed a something to activated the save button again and resaved and it populated the price. But when I refreshed the list the price disappeared again. The is defiantly a bug in 5v, v4 never did this.

You said 'Refreshed the List'. I assume you're talking about the All Components' or All Assemblies' lists.
Yes. There was a problem showing the cost in those list. That has been fixed now and an update will be released in a day or two.
